Grimes has changed the name of her and Elon Musk’s daughter

Elon Musk’s ex-girlfriend Grimes has announced that she has changed her daughter’s name.
Their second child was secretly born via surrogate and was only revealed when a Vanity Fair journalist was at the singer’s house last March and heard a baby cry.
After hearing the crying and asking Grimes if there was another baby on the property, the journalist replied somewhat cryptically: “It’s not my place to speak about these things. Whatever is going on with family stuff, I just feel like kids need to stay out of it, and X is just out there.
“I mean, I think E really sees him as a protégé and takes him to everything and stuff… X’s out there. His situation is like this. But yeah, I don’t know.”
However, she later confirmed that the couple had welcomed a second child together.
Since then, Grimes has mostly kept her little girl away from the public eye, but in a rare move, she shared a sweet snap of the yellow and green haired boy while wearing a red onesie; Alongside the photo, Grimes shared a shot of himself with lemon and lime colored locks and a similar red all-in-one.
She captioned the posts: “Y [dragon emoji] c”.
In a follow-up post, Grimes confirmed that her daughter is no longer using the Exa Dark Sideræl moniker, and is instead using the much easier to pronounce “why.”
She wrote: “She’s Y now, or “Why?” or just “?” (But the government will not recognize this). Curiosity, the eternal question, .. and stuff.”
This isn’t the first time the couple has changed the name of one of their children — but the last time it was actually was because of California laws.
Little X Æ A-12, pronounced Ex Ash A Twelve, had to be renamed shortly after his birth.
In a tweet published at the time, the singer said that she and Musk inserted X for the unknown variable and A-12 after her favorite plane.
“Æ is the elven spelling of Ai (love and/or artificial intelligence),” she wrote.
“A-12 = Precursor to SR-17 (our favorite plane). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in combat but non-violent. (A=Archangel, my favorite song).”
A few weeks after her son’s birth, Grimes confirmed on her Instagram account that she and Musk needed to get rid of the Arabic numbers.
While the A-12 had to go, the parents decided to use Roman numerals instead, so the baby’s official name was changed to X Æ A-Xii.
