Golfers travel to South Carolina for the AGT Intercollegiate

PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC — Fresh from a strong showing at the Missouri State Intercollegiate, the Wichita State men’s golf team travels to South Carolina for Golfweek/Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate. Play begins Monday March 27th and continues through Wednesday March 29th with 18 holes each day. The tournament takes place at True Blue Golf Club, a par 72 course listed at 6,989 yards.
Wichita State finished second last time out at Millwood Golf Club, on a back-and-forth final day in Ozark, Missouri, beaten by two shots by Oral Roberts. All five Shocker golfers in the lineup finished in the top 30 individually.
head coach Judd Ostling Haas submitted the same five in its lineup as last weekend, albeit in a different order. Blake Lorenz moves up to the top spot after a career best put him in third place while Michael Winlow And Aston Castillo tied for 14 each. Luke Scheufler will try to build a strong final round in Ozark, and JT Pittman The Shockers had the best 18 holes of the tournament with a second round 68.
The Shockers are part of an 18-team field spanning Austin Peay, Central Arkansas, Delaware, Evansville, High Point, Jacksonville State, Loyola-Chicago, Marshall, Northern Colorado, Ohio, Southern Illinois, Troy, UConn, Valparaiso, Western Illinois joins , Winthrop and Xavier.
True Blue Golf Club is a nationally recognized course near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, dubbed the “Golf Capital of the World.”
The Shockers are off for two weeks after the conclusion of Golfweek/Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate. WSU returns to action with the Hawkeye Invitational on April 15th and 16th.
