PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Though the Arkansas women’s golf team slipped from third to seventh after the second round of the NCAA Palm Beach Gardens Regional, the Hogs are just five shots off the cutline to be one of five teams to advance to the NCAA championship. At 18-over in two rounds Tuesday, Arkansas carded a 9-over 297, the same result as the Hogs on Monday.

Kajal Mistry paced Arkansas Tuesday and posted a 1-over-73. She only had one bogey on the first 10 holes and registered three birdies and three bogeys in the last eight. The senior moved up four spots to finish 12th with a 3-over-147 (74-73). Mistry leads the tournament field with the most birdies (9) and has the third best par 5s average (4.63).

Julia Gregg had another solid round with a 2-over-74 to remain steady on the leaderboard and also sit in 12th place. The senior was 1-over on the front nine and 2-over on the back, finishing the day with two birdies, four bogeys and 12 pars. Gregg goes into round three with a 3-over-147 (73-74) while posting 7th best par 4 average (4.10) and 9th best par 3 average (3.0).

Miriam Ayora is tied in 30th place with a 6-over-150 (75-75) after carding another 75. She finished the day with two birdies, but five bogeys, including two on holes 16 and 17, put her over par for the day. Reagan Zibilski also ranks 30th after carding another 75. With a 6-over-150 (75-75), Zibilski had three birdies, two bogeys and two double bogeys on Tuesday.

Ela Anacona recorded a 77 in the second round and sits in 48th place with an 11-over-155 (78-77). Anacona shot away most of a team’s five birdies, but three bogeys, a triple bogey, and a quadruple bogey to set them back.

Arkansas has a tie for most birdies (28) and fourth-best par-5 average (4.90) in the field.
