Get Corsair’s $2300 all-AMD gaming and streaming laptop for $1536

Here’s a neat trick: if you want a high-end gaming laptop but don’t want to pay too much for it, consider the Corsair Voyager A1600. If you buy it from Corsair’s US web store, add a PC case like this, then use the code NEW CONSTRUCTIONYou can pick up the laptop and bag for significant less than the cost of the laptop alone.

In fact, this $1800 laptop, which debuted for $2300 in December last year, comes complete with a Ryzen 9 CPU, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 2TB NVMe storage, a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 (16 :10) 240 Hz and a Radeon RX 6800M graphics card. drops to just $1536. And you essentially get a free case that you can resell later if you don’t need it. Or keep it and put a PC in it because those Corsair cases are really really nice!

But is the laptop any good? I think it’s a credible first attempt in a demanding category considering Corsair has made a name for itself with cases, power supplies, fans and RAM. The laptop looks great, has solid build quality, and performs well – it just doesn’t quite outperform competing systems with thicker cases and higher-end Intel or Nvidia components. As you might have noticed, it’s an all-AMD laptop with a Team Red CPU and GPU, so it gets some synergy points there – and the battery life is therefore respectable.

Reviews, like this one from PC Mag, cite the build quality, larger-than-usual 16:10 aspect ratio display, mechanical keyboard, Thunderbolt support, and 1080p webcam as key pluses — with the only downside being the is noted, the specs you get for that price are now neatly resolved through this deal. Notebook Check was also enthusiastic about the device:

“Corsair has created a really great device with the Voyager a1600. The combination of AMD SoC and AMD GPU is good and can definitely convince in the test… The Voyager a1600 appears to be of particularly high quality due to the choice of materials, this is also the device very good stability the device does not look clumsy at all… [and] with the unique streaming capabilities, the Voyager A1600 will be remembered.”

This is what your shopping cart should look like with the laptop, case and code.

So overall a solid laptop for the money, especially when you can get it for almost $800 less than four months ago! This is a super nifty deal, so we have to give our hats to Reddit user /u/3ng1neer for finding this somewhat sneaky combo first.
