Season 3, week 3 quest guide
Damage opponents within 30 seconds of exiting the water (75)
There are many ways to complete this one, but the easiest way is to try Reality Falls. This is a hot drop, but if you’re lucky you can land on the tree, grab a weapon from a chest, and then jump into the water below before exiting and dealing 75 damage to an enemy. Many players leave their Reality Sapplings in this area, making it easy for you to ambush them from behind while they collect fruit and other items from their trees, possibly by the water.
Remove or destroy runaway boulders with a melee weapon (3)
Northwest of Reality Falls is a landmark called Peril Pass that contains several runaway boulders. These are large rocks that stay stationary until you destroy the smaller pieces underneath with your pickaxe. On the map above are the locations of three runaway boulders in this area, so destroy all three to complete this challenge.
Get three seconds of airtime in a land vehicle (1)
This is yet another one with many solutions. We actually completed it when we visited the temple northeast of The Daily Bugle for another quest. East of the temple is a whiplash sports car as indicated on the map above. Drive this vehicle to the north side of the Daily Bugle area and use your boost once you launch off the cliff to gain more air. You can easily achieve three seconds of air with this method.
Headbutting an opponent while riding a boar (1)
There is a boar pen on the east side of Shifty Shafts, so go there and ride the back of one for this quest. We recommend turning it on Visualize sound effects So you can easily find enemies and when you find one, charge them with your boar. As long as you keep in touch, you will count towards this challenge. If you miss, circle the enemy and try again. It’s possible that this quest can be completed by damaging NPCs, but we haven’t been able to test it.
Impulse an enemy player with a shockwave grenade (1)
You can find shockwave grenades as floor loot or from chests, but to be sure of finding one, we recommend going to the house marked on the map above, where you’ll find an NPC called Metal Team Leader who sells a pair for 36 gold. After finding a Shockwave Grenade, simply throw it at an enemy player and launch them into the air to complete this quest.
Jump off a diving board (3)
There are likely several areas with springboards that will count towards this challenge, but the one we know of is on a raised piece of land south of Rocky Reels as indicated on the map above. You’ll need to use a nearby grab to reach the top and then build a structure to cross the gap (make sure you’re in a build mode to do this). You can jump off the same board twice more to complete this one. Oddly enough, the diving boards at the nearby pools don’t seem to count towards this challenge.
Reach Max Shields in a Temple (1)
This one is easy. You can land near the temple to stock up beforehand, or head to that area immediately. Either way, make sure you start with zero shields when you arrive and don’t fill them up until you’re in the temple area. It’s best to keep an eye out for Slurp Barrels, some of which can be found within the temple walls. If you have small shield potions, drink those first. Once you reach 100 shields in the temple, you’ll complete this straightforward challenge.
