I think we should start there,” Cammack said. “It’s a less divisive issue that Republicans and Democrats can actually get behind.” “Yeah sure, ‘People kill people.’ Because people kill people, we need safe gun laws to make sure we’re safe,” Frost said. Later this month marks the anniversary of one of the deadliest school shootings in our history: Uvalde, Texas, in which 22 people were killed and 18 injured. So far, 2021 holds the record for most mass shootings at 818. This year, the US is on track to break that dismal record.
