Film on the Rocks 2022: Check out the full amphitheater film schedule

After two years of drive-in screenings and limited amphitheater events, this 2022 schedule will be a true amphitheater experience.

DENVER — Colorado’s most scenic cinematic experience is back this summer.

Film on the Rocks will return for a 23rd edition with a series of films planned for a packed amphitheater schedule, Denver Film and Denver Arts & Venues announced Thursday.

“Dune”, “Thor: Ragnarok”, “The Sandlot”, “The Greatest Showman” and “Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)” will each be screened under the stars at Red Rocks Park & ​​​​Amphitheatre.

After two years of drive-in screenings and a limited number of events in the amphitheater in 2021, Film on the Rocks 2022 will be a true amphitheater experience.

  • THE GREATEST ACTOR
    • Monday, July 25 at 8:30 p.m
  • SUMMER OF SOUL (…OR WHEN THE REVOLUTION COULD NOT BE TELEVISION)
    • Monday 1 August at 8:30 p.m
  • DUNE
    • Monday, August 15 at 8:30 p.m

Tickets for the five-event season go on sale Friday, May 20 at 10am on denverfilm.org. Tickets are $16 for general admission and $32 for reserved VIP seating. Group sales are also possible by contacting Russel Brewer at [email protected]

Gates open for Film on the Rocks at 6:30pm, musical guests take the stage at 7pm, followed by the film presentation at 8:30pm. The full cast will be announced in the coming weeks, Denver Film said.

“We are incredibly grateful to our audiences for fully embracing the drive-through concept for Film on the Rocks over the past two seasons,” said Kevin Smith, CEO of Denver Film.

“However, there’s nothing quite like the in-amphitheater experience that Red Rocks offers, and we know this year’s lineup, packed with some of the most popular films of all time, as well as some new film and documentary additions, is going strong to create an unforgettable summer under the stars.”
