Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: EA) and the National Football League (NFL) today announced a new multi-year partnership extension for the EA SPORTS™ Madden NFL Championship Series (MCS). The announcement follows the best season in Madden NFL history, which saw MCS 22 achieve a 4x increase in average minute-by-minute viewership over the past year. The agreement will help align MCS with NFL events and key moments throughout the season as the NFL and EA continue to grow and deepen NFL fan bases through esports. The NFL and EA will elevate Madden NFL competitors to stars using creative, human storytelling to entertain Madden and football fans alike.

To maximize reach and fan engagement, the recently announced MCS 23 calendar will align closely with the NFL season and culminate with Ultimate Madden NFL 23 Bowl during the week of Super Bowl LVII as there is a total of $1.7 million in prizes up for grabs throughout the season.

The NFL and EA will collaborate on innovative new experiences to provide more ways for fans around the world to connect with the excitement of NFL football. Additionally, Campbell’s Chunky® Soup will return as an MCS partner and will receive virtual naming rights to the uniquely designed Campbell’s Chunky® Stadium.
