Cocaine Bear TV Critics Spot declares it the best film of all time

The Wild New Movie cocaine bear has released a new TV spot featuring some of the first critical reviews of the film – which one critic appears to have dubbed “the greatest film of all time”.

cocaine bear was inspired by the true story of 1985 in which a couple of drug smugglers screwed up a run and ended up dumping a shipment of cocaine in the wilderness between Georgia and Tennessee. A black bear found the cocaine and ingested it all, eventually being found dead of a cocaine overdose. Actress/director/producer Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect) takes this wild piece of Americana history and turns it into a complete horror comedy, imagining what happened in those Georgia woods when this cocaine bear (aka “Pablo Escobear ‘) when ballistic on this Colombian nose candy.

That should be evident from the footage cocaine bear doesn’t take himself too seriously and sticks his tongue to his cheek. Even the reviews are obvious exaggerations – although they may really convey to moviegoers that this film is everything the title promises. That is: a concept so wacky and over the top that it could easily earn that cheesy “so bad it’s good” label that horror often wears as a badge of honor.

cocaine bear will also feature a great lineup of actors chewing the scenery in the best way. This list includes Matthew Rhys (The Americans, Perry Mason), Isiah Whitlock Jr. (The cable), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton, Godzilla: King of the Monsters), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (modern family), Kristofer Hivju (game of Thrones), Brooklyn Prince (The Florida Project), Christian Convery-Jennings (sweet tooth), Margo Martindale (Justified, the Guardian) and one of the late (and great) Ray Liotta’s final screen appearances. 21 Jump Street and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse The duo Christopher Miller and Phil Lord are producing through their venture Lord Miller Productions, with Elizabeth Banks co-producing and directing.

The eponymous bear was created through a combination of WETA digital effects and motion capture provided by an Andy Serkis-trained actor (Allan Henry). “He really knew how to walk as a quadruped with prosthetics,” Elizabeth Banks previously explained. “It’s a whole range of skills. There are few artists in the world who really specialize in that.” Banks joked, “Cokey excels The revenant endure it every time.”

Synopsis: After swallowing a duffel bag full of cocaine, an American black bear goes on a murderous rampage in a small Georgia town, where a group of locals and tourists must band together to survive the attack.

Fans are already counting on the Oscar recognition for this performance. cocaine bear has a release date of February 24th.
