Sell Sunset Christine Quinn can officially add an author to her resume. The Netflix reality TV star recently opened up about her role in the Netflix series, claiming she “amplifies it” for cameras. Find out why Christine takes on the villain role when filming Sell sunset. We also have details about the inspiration behind her book How to become a Boss B****.
Christine Quinn has an acting background
Before becoming a real estate agent in California, Christine was a model and actress. “I moved to Los Angeles … to act and model,” she told Nylon in May 2020. “The first job I ever did… was [Shark Night 3D] … I had a billboard on Sunset for that silly movie … it was actually pretty big.”
As modeling and acting gigs dried up, Christine knew she had to make a switch. “At the time Jason [Oppenheim] was a friend of mine and I saw he was doing really well,” she added. After passing the brokerage exam, Christine secured a place at the Oppenheim Group.
More recently, Christine has made another shift. According to Sell sunset Season 5 was cancelled, Christine reportedly left O Group to start her own crypto-based brokerage.
“Selling Sunset” features an “over the top” version of Christine Quinn
In an interview with NPR’s It’s Been a Minute, Christine opened up about her personality on the Netflix series. “I knew the most important thing I wanted to take away from this experience was…to stand out,” Christine said. “I want to be remembered”
The Netflix reality star referenced her career as an actress. “I wanted people to feel something,” she added. “Whether that’s relationship ability, vulnerability, strength, [or] Inspiration.” To evoke those emotions in viewers, Christine does her “absolute best to… act [her] Humor, having fun, not taking it too seriously and being over the top.”
Comparing her authentic self and the personality she created for the Netflix series, Christine says there is a paradox. “As soon as I entered the world of reality television, I knew I had to do whatever it took to make myself stand out,” she explained. “I was willing to fall on my sword in the process, be it saying things that might not be so kind, that I might not say in real life.”
Christine admitted that she’s actually “very outspoken.” She added: “I’m stepping it up [for the show]? Yes absolutely. But in real life, I’m not like that at all on TV.”
Christine Quinn’s book was inspired by fan reactions to Selling Sunset
According to Christine, when Sell sunset came out, the number one question she got from fans wasn’t about her fashion. “By far, [the] largest [question from people was]’How can I have your trust?’” she said.
Christine’s book How to become a Boss B**** explains how to achieve her confidence in real estate and life in general. “I wanted to encourage people to be the most authentic and true version of themselves,” she told NPR. “So many people worry about… [being] represented as B****,” she added.
“I’m sick of the word b**** being used with a negative connotation. It is not. If you’re called ab****, it means you’re doing something right. That means you’re not an affable, quiet woman, making waves and breaking glass ceilings.”
