NOW THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR OF THE THEATER, MICHAEL UNGER, COMES TO ME. THANK YOU MICHAEL FOR COMING THIS MORNING. MICHAEL: GOOD TO BE BACK. GABRIELLA: YOU TOLD ME YESTERDAY THAT THE OPENING NIGHT OF THE SHOW WAS. MICHAEL: LAST NIGHT, YES WE ARE JUST OPEN. IT’S AN AMAZING, TALENTED GROUP OF PEOPLE ON OUR STAGE, ADULTS ALSO SOME YOUNG CHILDREN. I knew people would love the songs from the show, but little did I know that every single song would get a reaction from the audience like it was the last song, I mean hit after hit. THE KIDS WERE ADORABLE. IT WAS EXCITING. GABRIELLA: I LOVE TO HEAR IT. TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE MUSIC OR SONGS PEOPLE CAN EXPECT TO HEAR. MICHAEL: IF YOU LOVE DISNEY SOUNDS AND GREAT SINGING YOU WILL LOVE THE SHOW. SO THERE ARE 33 SONGS OUT – THIS IS DISNEY’S BROADWAY CATALOGUE, FROM “FROZEN”, “LION KING”, “A PART OF YOUR WORLD”, “ALADDIN”, “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST”, “JUNGLE BOOK”, I TOGETHER, EVERY SINGLE HIT FROM DISNEY’S BROADWAY SHOWS. GABRIELLA: THIS IS SOMETHING VERY UNIQUE FOR SKY WHAT – FOR SKYLIGHT THEATRE. MICHAEL: IT’S TRUE. WE ARE THE ONLY SHOW IN THE WORLD PRODUCING THIS SHOW AT THE MOMENT. I WORKED DIRECTLY WITH DISNEY TO ADD CHILDREN TO THE SHOW. WE ADDED 12 CHILDREN AND TWO DIFFERENT CASTS OF SIX. WE HAVE WORKED DIRECTLY WITH DISNEY. IF WE CHANGE, EVEN A COMMA, IT MUST BE APPROVED BY DISNEY. I LOVE THIS RESTRICTION BECAUSE THEY ARE SO WISELY CAREFUL WITH THE FEATURES AND THEY WERE EXCITED TO ADD KIDS TO THE SHOW. YOU CAN SEE THE VIDEOS THE SET IS SO BEAUTIFUL YOU ARE LIKE THE LIVING ROOM OF SKYLIGHT. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL DESIGN, A BEAUTIFUL PRODUCTION. THE CHOREOGRAPHY IS REALLY EXCITING. IT’S FULL OF HITS. GABRIELLA: I LOVE IT. IT’S SOMETHING EVERYONE OF ANY AGE CAN COME OUT AND ENJOY AND FEEL A BIT NOSTALGIC ABOUT IT ALSO. MICHAEL: IT TRANSVERSES ALL GENERATIONS. IT IS CALLED ‘A JOLLY HOLIDAY’ BUT IT IS ACTUALLY AFTER THE BRITISH USE OF THE WORD WHICH MEANS HOLIDAY. DISNEY TRIED TO FIND A WAY TO CREATE A CHRISTMAS SHOW AND THERE ARE NO CHRISTMAS CAROLS PER SE IN DISNEY’S CATALOG BUT IT IS ANYWAY BECAUSE SOME HOLIDAY, YOU ARE FAMOUS OR NO FREEDOM, THIS IS AN AMAZING SHOW .
