Brad Pitt’s global horror film is getting a second life on Netflix

Brad Pitt’s World War Z is among the top ten most watched movies on Netflix.

Brad Pitt is as relevant as ever, having recently starred in David Leitch’s fast-paced action film fast train and historical drama Babylon, from acclaimed filmmaker Damien Chazelle. Besides being one of the famous actor’s older films, World War Z, is getting renewed attention thanks to Netflix. According to Flix Patrol, the fast-paced horror film is one of the streaming service’s top ten films.

published in 2013, World War Z Stars Brad Pitt as a former United Nations investigator named Gerry Lane. Based on Max Brooks’ 2006 novel of the same name, the film follows Lane as he travels the globe in search of a way to stop a fast-spreading zombie outbreak. The film features an ensemble cast including Mireille Enos, Daniella Kertesz and James Badge Dale, all playing key roles in the action-packed storyline.

Since its release World War Z has become a staple of the zombie film genre. The film’s innovative approach to the zombie apocalypse has earned it both critical acclaim and a loyal fan base. Though the non-stop action gets a little overwhelming at times, complex characters like Brad Pitt’s Gerry Lane help add emotional depth to the rapidly unfolding narrative.

Brad Pitt’s involvement in World War Z went beyond his on-screen performance. The Oscar-winning actor also acted as the film’s producer and used his clout to make the project a reality. Pitt’s production company, Plan B Entertainment, has been involved in the production of several other critically acclaimed films, including moonlight, 12 years slaveand the recent biographical romance drama Blondwith Ana de Armas.

Until then, Brad Pitt is set to headline the thriller next wolvesout of Spiderman Director Jon Watts. Starring George Clooney, Amy Ryan and Austin Abrams, the film follows two lone wolves who have the same job. The upcoming movie is currently in production and there is no word on when it will hit theaters.

Further out, Brad Pitt can be seen starring in an untitled sports film Top Gun: Maverick Director Josef Kosinski. The film follows a Formula 1 driver who comes out of retirement to mentor and support a young driver. The project is in a very early stage of development.
