OSAKIS — The Minnewaska boys’ tennis team won their first game of Triangular Tuesday in Osakis with a 3-0 win in doubles. They defeated hosts Silverstreaks 6-1 and lost to Detroit Lakes 2-4.

In the No. 1 doubles match against Osakis, the Lakers’ top duo Carter LeClaire and Drew Bleick won a tight three-set match against Marcus Wolf and Connor Gulbranson 7-5, 5-7, 11-9. Riley Thorfinnson and Tyler Kohn won in doubles No. 2 and Marshall Kopp and Landon Schiffler won in doubles No. 3.

Tenzin Dahl, Noah Palmer and Xavier Johnson each won singles for the Lakers.

Tenzin Dahl and Noah Palmer each won singles games for Minnewaska in a loss to Detroit Lakes in Osakis.

Dahl picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win over the Lakers’ Cooper Moore at No. 2 in singles. Then, in third place, Palmer picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win over Cole Deraney.
