Kamisato Ayaka is a character loved by both Genshin Impact Players and the inhabitants of Inazuma, the region where she lives. The characters in the game see her as a model of true perfection, and that notion can extend to her skills on the battlefield too, when equipped with powerful artifacts that make her already formidable cryo abilities.
Ayaka is quite a unique person in the world of Teyvat because she was one of the select few recruits revealed long in advance by MiHoYo herself. She first appeared in genshins special Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail video that aired right at the start of the game in late 2020, but she didn’t come to Teyvat until July 2021.

Because she was teased so early, Kamisato Ayaka’s arrival was eagerly awaited genshin community. And while many of the other recruitable characters players were looking forward to ended up disappointing, Kamisato Ayaka quickly became a fan favorite and remains one of the strongest forces in Teyvat to this day.
Along with a powerful sword and a team tailored to their skills, artifacts are one of the most important aspects to consider when building Kamisato Ayaka. The five-star Cryo Sword character can be extremely powerful, but it’s only really suited to playing as the primary damage-dealing character within a team.

As such, their abilities require players to select powerful, specialized artifacts to boost their overall damage output.
What are the best artifacts for Kamisato Ayaka in Genshin Impact?
Born in Cryo Inazuman, he is not as versatile as many others genshin characters, but she is one of the best performing in the primary damage dealer role when she has the right artifacts equipped.
Characters that primarily deal damage spend most of their time on the battlefield, and as such should be responsible for the bulk of the team’s destructive performance. Because of this, characters like Kamisato Ayaka benefit from artifacts that increase their damage, affect how often they can use their abilities, and how much damage their element deals.
Within artifact abilities and their associated stats, players should primarily look for those that have:
- critical rate
- Critical damage
- attack percentage
- Cryo damage bonus
- recharge energy
While others genshin Characters tend to have a wide variety of sets that can work well for them. Kamisato Ayaka only has four options that will help boost her abilities and ensure she emerges as the strongest damage dealer.

Blizzard Stray
The best artifact set players can equip the Cryo character with is the full four-piece version of Blizzard Strayer.
The two-piece version grants a powerful 15 percent cryo damage bonus, making it a perfect choice for Kamisato Ayaka. With the four-piece version of this set equipped, critical hit rate is increased by 20 percent when the equipping character attacks an enemy affected by cryo. If the enemy is Frozen, an additional 20 percent increase in Critical Rate is granted.
The four-piece set is one of the most effective and powerful options for Kamisato Ayaka. Still, players must carefully create the best possible team for them to ensure they maximize their potential. If players can assemble a team with a solid balance between Cryo and Hydro, they will consistently Freeze enemies allowing Kamisato to more effectively defeat Ayaka with the Critical Rate bonus stats granted by the Artifact Set.
Players can obtain Blizzard Strayer from the Peak of Vindagnyr domain in Dragonspine, Mondstadt. To unlock this domain, travelers must first complete the quests that work toward granting them access to the Spire of Dragonspine.

noblesse oblige
The Noblesse Oblige artifact set is one of them genshins most versatile and works well on almost every Teyvat recruit. It mainly focuses on the Elemental Burst, which is the massive and most powerful version of an attack that every character has.
When the two-piece set is equipped, elemental damage is increased by 20 percent. The four-piece set increases each party member’s Attack by 20 percent for 12 seconds after casting an Elemental Burst.
If the perks of this artifact set sound good, but you prefer a different one for Kamisato Ayaka, the Noblesse Oblige set could also be equipped on one of her teammates, as some of its perks are party-wide. Players can also consider just using the two-piece set on Kamisato Ayaka and combining it with another set.
The Nobless Oblige set is available at the Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern Domain in Minlin, Liyue.
Gladiator’s Finale
Just like Nobless Oblige, the mighty Gladiator’s Finale set is another set genshins most versatile and powerful options. There are some specific requirements for the four-piece version of the set, but this only pertains to which character players equip it on.
The two-piece set grants a basic but powerful 18 percent attack boost. The four-piece set increases normal attack damage by 35 percent for characters wielding a sword, claymore, or polearm in combat.
Kamisato Ayaka is a sword figure so the full version of this set will work on her. However, it’s generally a better idea to only equip the two-piece version next to another to better bolster their abilities.
Unlike most other artifact sets, players cannot obtain Gladiator’s Finale from a domain. Instead, the parts of this set are only available for defeating normal bosses, defeating weekly bosses, or completing certain levels of the Spiral Abyss that grant the Box Domain Reliquary: Tier II as a reward.

Shimenawa’s memory
For Kamisato Ayaka, players will generally only want to use the 2-piece version of the Shimenawa’s Reminiscence artifact set, as it will derive stronger benefits from different combos or an entirely different 4-piece set.
The two-piece version works just like Gladiator’s Finale, granting an 18 percent attack boost. With the four-piece set equipped, the character consumes 15 energy and increases their normal, charged, and dashing attack damage by 50 percent for 10 seconds whenever they use an elemental skill and have 15 or more energy available.
If you enjoy the two-piece version of Gladiators Finale, but are having trouble getting this set since it’s not available through a domain, you can work on collecting the Shimenawa’s Reminiscence two-piece set instead, as it has the same effect.

If you’re not sure which set best suits your particular Kamisato Ayaka, you should also try Artifact Set combinations. These can be immensely powerful and are a great way to gain two distinctly different but powerful perks for the Cryo character.
Some powerful Artifact Set combinations that players can construct for Kamisato Ayaka are:
- Two-piece Blizzard Strayer and two-piece Noblesse Oblige
- Two-part Blizzard Strayer and two-part Gladiator’s Finale
- Two-part Blizzard Strayer and two-part Shimenawa’s Reminiscence
- Two-part Noblesse Oblige and two-part Gladiator’s Finale
- Two-part Noblesse Oblige and two-part Shimenawa’s Reminiscence
- Two-part Shimenawa’s Reminiscence and two-part Gladiator’s Finale

The Cryo Sword character makes his big return for the second half of genshins Version 3.5 update. A rerun of Kamisato Ayaka’s The Heron’s Court banner will be seen live alongside a rerun of five-star Cryo Polearm character Shenhe’s The Transcendent One Returns banner. With the Cryo characters running at the same time, all travelers will likely have to consider which of the two to go for as getting both will be an immensely costly and difficult task.
This series of Kamisato Ayaka’s featured banner will be her third banner series ever. Prior to The Heron’s Court version 3.5, the Cryo character was last rerun in April-May 2022. Generally, characters won’t get another banner iteration for at least six months, if not more, meaning any player hoping to add Kamisato Ayaka to their team should they wish as long as they’re up in the second half of the update Version 3.5 is available.
