Guillermo del Toro REVIEWS Avatar: The Way of Water

Yesterday, November 24th, Avatar: The Way of Water co-producer Jon Landau revealed on Twitter that James Cameron & Co. had completed their final mix and picture mastering of the highly anticipated film. Sharing a vivid photo of the crew including Cameron, Landau tweeted, “Happy birthday to the entire Avatar: The Way of Water family. Yesterday we finished our final mix and image mastering and I took this image of our post finishing team. I am grateful to each of you for your contributions to the film.”

Jon Landau’s tweet about Avatar: The Way of Water a few hours later featured Guillermo del Toro none other than heaping praise on James Cameron’s cinematic skills. In his personal review of Avatar: The Way of Water, the Pinnochio director tweeted, “A breathtaking achievement – AVATAR TWOW is filled with majestic vistas and emotion on an epic, epic scale. A master at the peak of his powers…”

Avatar: The Way of Water – Fortress

“This is our home. This is our family. This is our fortress. Here we stand,” Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) proudly proclaims in the new epic Avatar: The Way of Water promotional video, aptly titled “Our Fortress”. When the humans come back to hunt them, Jake and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) must protect their people and their fortress. The synopsis for Avatar: The Way of Water states: “More than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water is set to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri and their children) and the troubles tell what follows them, the struggles they make to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive and the tragedies they endure.”

Avatar: The Way of Water, starring Sigourney Weaver and Kate Winslet, is out December 16.
