Arizona State vs Arizona Odds
Let’s bet on the Territorial Cup.
The Arizona State Sun Devils are 4-7 against the spread this season and haven’t done well as underdogs lately. The Wildcats shed four points in a streak they lead 49-45-1 all-time on Friday.
Arizona is listed as a favorite for the second time all season. Arizona topped all the way back in Week 5 as an 18-point chalk (43-20) against Colorado.
And to say that rivalry wasn’t entertaining would be a lie: Only two of the last 10 between Arizona and Arizona State have gone below the final total.
Is another high-scoring game planned for Friday?
For Sparky, it’s been a season for the ages, stretching back to week 1.
Team assistants provided opponents with ASU’s game plan to fire Herm Edwards (it worked!). He was replaced by running backs coach Shaun Aguano, who quickly lost fan base after his loss to Stanford.
The Sun Devils have lost to the spread four straight times since that loss. And despite being relatively competitive all season, they are conceding their worst loss of the year (24 points to Oregon State).
Quarterback Trenton Bourguet looked great in his first two games against Colorado and Washington but was shot at in back-to-back contests against Washington State and Oregon State.
Oregon State limited Bourguet — a Tusconner native — to 122 yards on 20 completions and held star wide receiver Elijhah Badger to 16 yards on four grabs last week.
The state of Arizona can attend track meetings if the matchup calls for it (check: USC, UCLA, and Washington). Luckily for Sparky, Arizona’s defenses have withstood a tidal wave about as well as a sandcastle.
If you’re not good, at least make fun like the Arizona Wildcats.
Jedd Fisch’s club will not bowl this season thanks to a 1-5 stretch in the last six weeks of conference play.
I’m not just going to sit here and blame any unit… I’m going to blame the Wildcats defense.
They can run on Arizona (#126 in rushing yards per game), and no other power-five defense allows quarterbacks to complete passes at a higher clip than the Wildcats (68.1%).
The reason for Arizona’s chalk in this game? Their QB-WR tandem of Jayden de Laura and Jacob Cowing is one of the best in the nation. In fact, the Wildcats rank fifth in offense nationwide in passing yards per contest (323.5).
The Arizona defense ranks 126th in finishing drives. There won’t be many games where the Wildcats will come out on top in this category, but this is as close as it gets — Arizona State is just one spot better defensively (125th).

Arizona State vs Arizona Betting Tip
About as meaningful as the Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl flag football game you just played in Uncle Gary’s two-acre backyard, this competition features two defenses that have made the national top 10 in both Line Yards and Rush Success lie.
I’ve been on this one for a few days. And I personally couldn’t think of a scenario where either of us would wake up on Friday and think – at any point – that under betting would be an optimal idea.
You could argue that the biggest challenge for every single offensive player on the field Friday is remembering which handshake he had with which teammate when he scored a touchdown.
The grand total has increased from 63 to 65.5 and based on the offensive uptrend and clear weather I agree with the move.
I can bet this total up to 66 (key) in a game where neither team can attack or cover.
