Apex Studio needs to remind players not to be dicks to developers

Recently, some gaming companies, Bungie in particular, have stepped up their efforts to protect their employees from the more nasty elements of fandom. In Bungie’s case, the studio acts (opens in new tab) not only against scammers, but also against serial harassers of his employees who have made violent threats. Now, Respawn, the Vince Zampella-led studio behind Apex Legends and Titanfall, has felt it necessary to warn elements of its community about their behavior.

“Recently, we’ve seen an increase in harassment towards members of our development team,” reads a statement posted on social media. “We welcome contributions from the community, but don’t cross the line between providing constructive feedback and harassing our development team.”
