Apex Legends dataminer seems to have spotted a spooky new LTM card

Every October, Apex Legends hosts its annual Halloween event featuring an LTM called Shadow Royale, where Legends are transformed into zombie-like Shadows with supernatural speed and strength. But after a prolific Apex Legends dataminer uncovered evidence of a new Halloween event, the game’s developers seem to have something else in store for trick-or-treating this year: the new Gun Run LTM, which comes in a shadowy version of the Olympus playing card .

The dataminer, which previously leaked the contents of Apex Legends battle passes well before their debut in the game, has posted an image on its Discord server that hints at an upcoming version of Gun Run set on a map called Haunted Estates. plays. this appears to be a Halloween version of Olympus’ Autumn Estates POI.

If this leak proves legitimate, it will be the biggest change to Apex’s annual Halloween event since it was renamed Shadow Royale (formerly Shadowfall) in the game’s second year, and would mean Gun Run might not be gone for good is when the Beast of Prey event ends on October 4th. But Apex devs said in a recent AMA series that they have no plans for more events like the Season 8 multi-mode War Games event, so the leak could mean a spooky version of Gun Run Shadow Royale in full replace instead of sharing the stage. One thing is certain, though: if the leak is genuine, Apex players will finally get a taste of what Olympus looks like after dark, much like they did when the Kings Canyon After Dark map made its first debut during the Halloween Celebration of the year 1 celebrated.

Kings Canyon After Dark is exactly what it sounds like – a nighttime version of the normally sunny Kings Canyon map. It’s appeared multiple times throughout Apex’s history, but players haven’t had a chance to explore an After Dark map outside of Shadow Royale matches in over a year. The opportunity to get a good look at another after dark map is certainly an exciting opportunity. Another well-known Apex Legends content creator, iLootGames, has actually seen the map for itself – and it’s not just Autumn Estates that’s getting a spooky makeover. The video shows all of Olympus being consumed by darkness, suggesting that despite what developers have said in recent AMAs, players could see both Gun Run and Shadow Royale taking place on a sunless Olympus this Halloween.

The video features Pathfinder’s Fight Night POI in a state of disarray, with the banners and billboards all depicting Revenant. Even the ticker text was changed to one of Revenant’s favorite phrases: “Watch ’em beg.”

In the Apex lore, there is a shadowy alternate dimension where Revenant orchestrates a coup, has overtaken the Syndicate and is worshiped as a god. Given the way the statues of Pathfinder have been replaced with replica Revenant’s death totems in this dark new Olympus, it stands to reason that the Revenant of the Shadow Dimension is planning to visit our dimension in October.

While all leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, the leakers in question both have excellent track records when it comes to accuracy, so there’s a good chance players will be running and shooting through Dark Olympus in just a few short weeks. But until then, it’s probably a good idea to do some throwing practice while the sun is still out.

Apex Legends is free to play on console and PC. A mobile version of the game, Apex Legends Mobile, is available for download on Android and iOS devices.
