Collision of Rhythm brings the noise to the Alaska Junior Theater and Atwood Concert Hall in March.

Celebrations include a champagne reception, hearty hors d’oeuvres, online and live auctions, culminating in a live performance by Collision of Rhythm.

After a difficult two and a half years, the Alaska Junior Theater has returned to the theater with the best live professional performances from around the world! This hybrid live/online event offers great opportunities to support AJT’s mission.

Live Performance: Join them live at the Atwood Concert Hall for Collision of Rhythm and enjoy the same high quality show seen by over 6,000 students during the week of school performances. This dynamic duo delivers an energetic performance using a wide range of instruments, combining drums, percussion, piano, marimba, saxophone and beatboxing with the unique elements of tap dancing and jump juggling. This mind-blowing show has been described as “Stomp meets Blue Man meets Cirque du Soleil”.

Collision of Rhythm delivers an energetic performance using a wide range of instruments including drums and percussion, piano, marimba, saxophone and beatboxing – with the unique elements of tap dancing and jump juggling. Featured in The Tonight Show, America’s Got Talent and SuperBowl commercials, this inspirational show is packed with audience interaction, laughter and breathtaking performances for all ages and backgrounds.

Though only two, they fill the stage like a 12-piece ensemble, moving from instrument to instrument with a high level of skill and variety. What emerges is a rich, explosive experience that is second to none – rhythm-centric but also full of melodic movement and dynamic depth. With drums, tap dance, rhythmic juggling, marimba, piano, saxophone, flute and much more. Between choreographed pieces of music there is audience interaction, humor and personal stories that make this show simultaneously captivating, inspiring and utterly extraordinary.

Bronkar Lee is a musician, producer and keynote speaker whose unique background includes touring Europe as the ringmaster of a world famous circus, appearing with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show and beatboxing with his son in a viral video that has racked up over 200 million views . He has performed around the world for companies such as Disney, YouTube, Facebook and Madison Square Garden.

Aaron Williams is a virtuoso tap dance multi-instrumentalist, trained in classical music, jazz and rudimentary percussion technique. He rose to internet fame with his viral video “Mario on Marimba” which received millions of views on Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and other social media sites. He appeared in Coca Cola’s “America the Beautiful” campaign, which aired during the Superbowl, the Olympics and the Winter Olympics opening ceremonies. He is the composer of “Jazzy Note Blocks”, the music behind Note Blocks – AVM Shorts Episode 5, which has racked up over 77 million views on YouTube.

School performances will be held March 22-24 at 10:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. at the Atwood Concert Hall at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts.

During their stay in Anchorage, the artists will teach two after-school music/dance workshops at ASD Title I schools.
