After the betrayal of his fellow LIV golfer, fun-loving Bubba Watson finds solace in the ‘boring’ PGA Tour star

The 2023 Masters Champions Dinner is still two weeks away but has caused quite a stir. Golf fans have already given Scottie Scheffler’s menu a thumbs-up. And now new LIV Golf League member Bubba Watson can’t stop thinking and is waiting. An NHL legend used to call him boring, but his dinner could take a lot of interesting turns. But now the question is, why is Watson looking forward to dinner?
Bubba Watson slobbers on Masters Champions 2023 dinner menu?
Watson is a home cooking man. None of the menus before had intrigued him. He didn’t salivate when Hideki Matsuyama served sashimi. The same must have been the case in 2018 when Sergio Garcia served Spanish lobster rice; or a year earlier, when Adam Scott chose an appetizer of artichoke and arugula salad with squid. Garcia was Watson’s teammate and not having a good menu was a betrayal for the RangeGoats GC captain.

However, this year’s Scheffler dinner menu calls for home cooking. And Watson can’t wait. He revealed a secret from the LIV event in Tucson on Thursday. The pro said: “I’ll tell you a secret. I usually eat beforehand, have some burritos before going to dinner because I don’t know what they’re going to have. The LIV defector further added: “But when I saw [Scheffler’s] Menu, definitely want the dessert and I definitely want some sliders. So yes, I can’t wait.”
When Scheffler won the Masters in 2022, Paige Spiranac predicted that next year’s dinner menu would be boring. “I think his champions dinner will be boring next year.” She even pointed out the same menu,”it will be like macaroni and cheese, steak. Beans and coleslaw This will be the meal.” But when the 2023 menu was released, it received the approval of golf fans. And not only that, even the former PGA Tour pro is waiting to nibble on the delicious steaks.

What is this year’s dinner bringing to the table?
There has been a lot of talk about this year’s dinner, but less about what Scheffler will be serving and more about the environment. What will happen when PGA Tour stars and LV defectors like Watson, Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia sit shoulder to shoulder at the same table?
Will Mickelson get the cold shoulder from Fred Couples? Will there be a steak fight between Jordan Spieth and Reed? Will Garcia get a bun from Ben Crenshaw? Watson said he doesn’t expect any fireworks from his side. He said, “I still get in touch on their birthdays, on Christmas. We’re still talking. I still watch and draw for my boys.”
