Viewers across the country are tuning in to ABS-CBN’s primetime teleseries as The Broken Marriage Vow is consistently the most-watched Asian drama on Viu in the Philippines, while 2 Good 2 Be True ranks at number one in the top 10 List of TV series and movies on Netflix Philippines.

Concepcion Macatuno, director of The Broken Marriage Vow, has welcomed the overwhelming Filipino support for the show, which recently entered its second season.

“We are grateful that people continue to connect to the authenticity of our characters and their unfolding stories. Thank you for that. We are beaming and smiling with love and support,” she said.

Meanwhile, 2 Good 2 Be True director Mae Cruz Alviar admitted that Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla both had doubts about their acting skills on their first days of recording.

“Kath and DJ told me on the first day of recording that they might not know how to act anymore. They were so nervous because it had been a long time since their last project,” she said.

She even remembered her exact conversation with Kathryn. “It was so easy. No dialogue, she just has to look at the TV. She then did, but before I finished the scene she exclaimed, ‘Ahhh!’ I asked her, ‘What’s going on?’ She asked me if she was doing it right,” said the 2G2BT director.

All her hard work has paid off as her show topped the country’s successful global streaming platform and trended around the world.

Viewers should look out for more intense scenes in The Broken Marriage Vow as the second season unfolds with heightened conflict and confrontation.
