One of the best ways to enjoy the days leading up to Christmas is to drive through a beautiful display of Christmas lights and attractions that are fortunately right here in good ol’ Mountain State!
Below is a list of 6 different Christmas lights to ride through with the whole family:
Oglebay Festival of Lights (Wheeling)
With this drive-through, you can enjoy six miles of lights on this celebratory drive-through, voted one of the top 14 vacation drive-through experiences in the USA! This festival of lights takes place from the beginning of November to mid-January. By making a small donation, you and your family can qualify for a season pass to the festival, as well as over $500 in vouchers toward other Oglebay events and services. To learn more, click here.
Celebration of Lights WV (Fairmont)
This exhibit runs from Thanksgiving through the last Saturday in December and is held at Morris Park along the 1.3 mile park loop. Admission is $10 per car. Click here for a full schedule of Drive-and-Walk-Thru appointments.
WV State Farm Museum Christmas Light Show Drive-Thru (Point Pleasant)
Don’t miss this exhibition! The West Virginia State Farm Museum’s Christmas Light Show usually only takes place for a limited time in December! This exhibition takes place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the museum grounds. Only car travel is allowed and entry is free, but donations are welcome. Holiday of Lights (Bluefield)
Each year, Bluefield decorates Lotito Park with over a million twinkling lights for this exhibition. Admission is free, but donations are also welcome. You can enjoy this exhibition from mid-November to New Year’s Eve! Find out more about this event here.
Christmas at the Faire (Lewisburg)
Through January 2, 2022, the State Fair of West Virginia is hosting a drive-thru light show at the fairgrounds. Although entry is free, donations are always accepted. You can find out more on their Facebook page.
6. Winter Wonderland (Fayetteville
