10th Meeting for Racers & Mocs Saturday
The Murray State Racers (3-2) line up for a Saturday game at McKenzie Arena to take on the Chattanooga Mocs (2-3). The tipping time in Chattanooga, Tennessee is set at 6:00 p.m. Central Time. The Racers lead the all-time streak with the Mocs 7-2, including their 00-00 home win about a year ago. The Racers are playing the round house for the fourth time and the first time since 2010 when the Racers won 73-65.

Racers 3rd & Wood honored at Myrtle Beach
The Racers got a much-needed break this week after playing three games at the Myrtle Beach Invitational, where they defeated No. 24 Texas A&M (Nov. 17) 88-79, earning their first win over a ranked team in 10 years . After a missed chance to win (Nov. 18), the Racers lost 71-69 on a UMass buzzer shot. That sent the Racers to the third-place playoff against Tulsa. The Racers defeated the Golden Hurricane last Sunday 77-60.

Racer student guard JaCobi Wood was honored as Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week (Nov. 22) and was a member of the Myrtle Beach All-Tournament Team. He almost had a triple-double with 12 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists against Tulsa. Wood also scored 23 and 24 points for career bests against TAMU and UMass. He was an amazing 96 percent (25 of 26) from the free throw line in three games. His 11 assists was an MBI single-game record against Tulsa. Wood is third in the Missouri Valley Conference with 25 assists.

Wood will certainly have plenty of support on Saturday at UTC. His hometown of Cleveland, Tennessee is about 30 miles from Chattanooga.

Valley opener is next Week
The Missouri Valley Conference opener is a white out as the Racers host the Illinois State Redbirds (December 1) at the CFSB Center in Murray, Ky. The starting shot is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. A White Out is planned to commemorate this historic night, during which 5,000 special MVC First Game t-shirts will be distributed, sponsored by CFSB.

Tickets for single games are available from the Murray State Athletics ticket home on GoRacers.com.
